Port Agent to Nuuk in Greenland

Would you like to work with shipping, logistics, and international coordination in Nuuk? We are currently looking for a dedicated and service-minded colleague to join our Port Agency team in Nuuk.

You will have a varied and dynamic role, working closely with vessels, suppliers, and colleagues along the Greenlandic coast. The position offers significant responsibility from day one and the opportunity to develop your skills within shipping, logistics, and port operations.

Key Responsibilities in the Role

Port Agency tasks include:

• Clearance of vessels upon arrival in Greenland
• Practical assistance to ships calling at the port of Nuuk
• Coordination and communication with local suppliers and authorities
• Invoicing and booking of future port calls
• Acting as a key liaison between vessels, shipping companies, and colleagues along the Greenlandic coast

Marine Logistics tasks includ:

• Purchasing local provisions and coordinating with suppliers
• Assisting with port operations and handling deliveries to vessels
• Invoicing and coordination of provisions for cruise ships
• Close collaboration with colleagues in Port Agency, Blue Water operations along the coast, and colleagues in Denmark

The role may involve overtime and weekend work, particularly during the summer season when many ships visit Greenland. We strive to maintain a positive workplace with an informal and supportive atmosphere.

Your Profile

• Have strong local knowledge of Nuuk and the Greenlandic community
• Are able to work independently and take initiative
• Are structured and able to maintain an overview in a busy environment
• Are fluent in English; Danish and Greenlandic are considered an advantage
• Have an interest in shipping, logistics, or service-oriented work
